I have a document 950px X 635px. I want to use guides to segment my document into thirds both horizontally and vertically. What is the easiest way to accomplish this? I have the rulers visible, but the ruler is incremented by values of 6 pixels, so it isn't precise? How can I change it so I can drag the guides out and position them precisely into thirds of the document?

Thanks.

Use the Rectangular Grid Tool (it's under the Line Tool) to drag out a rectangle. While you drag, use the arrow keys to adjust the number of segments. If you have Smart Guides on, you can snap to the document corners, thereby creating a perfect 3x3 or whatever segment rectangle. Then select all segments and convert them to guides (View > Guides > Make Guides).

You can tun on the document grid and adjust the spacing in the preferences menu, and you can also move the guides to the exact dimension you need using the transform pallett (Unlock the guides first)
