Plugin error

When I started Illustrator CS2 today I got an error message "error loading plugins-pdf format, photoshop adapter, photoshop adapter" (listed 2 times)-How can I fix this without reloading? I have a mac. When I look at my effects half of them are gone now-like pointilize,etc.

take out the plugins folder and see if it works.. if it works that means those plugins are crap or installed a 3rd party plug in.. either way youre going to have to reinstall.
