First hi to all in the forum.
This is my first question...

If I done some (in this case logo) in AI what is the best way to export it to Photoshop .
I was doing in this way:
1. Save my work in let it be EXAMPLE.AI
2. Export it to EXAMPLE.PSD with all layers

Now I open the EXAMPLE.PSD in Photoshop and do some changes on it but is there another way to export the vector file to PS and after to bring that vector file back to Illustrator with all changes on effects I've made.

I don't know am I so clear..

It's not possible to take a file from Illustrator -> Photoshop -> Illustrator and retain the same vector editibility. You can do it, but you end up importing a raster image into Illustrator. Even taking a file from Illustrator to Photoshop can lose some editability. But going from Photoshop to Illustrator only offers a raster format or the paths. Nothing you do in Photoshop will be retained if you take the paths from Photoshop back to Illustrator.

If you need a vector file, it's best to stay in Illustrator and forgo Photoshop completely.

Thanks for the feedback.

But what is then the best way to follow the logo design process, if the client request AI, PSD .
What to do then, just to export it to PSD and of course AI?

Typically, logos are supplied in vector format due to the ability to resize/scale in as needed. If the client requests it in other formats, then you can easily export direct from illustrator. Money talks, so as long as the check clears I will put it in any format they want.

I the client requests AI and PSD. I make the logo in AI (which I do anyway) then, when complete, open the AI file with Photoshop and save that as a PSD. I provide a standard 1 layer psd with a transparent background. But, as Torch posted, if asked for something more I'll do what I can, or explain to the client why what they want is just not possible. I never provide editable PSD files of logos unless they is specifically requested.
