I'm not too sure I'm on the right board here, but here goes:

I've started University nearly a month ago now and we've been issued 4 projects already [busy]. Anyway, the point being is that one of the briefs' is required us to draw an illustration for a magazine page, my idea is simply a Mech/Mecha/Robot/Japanese Robot (etc), I thought Illustrator might be the best software to use because of the shape modifications etc it utilizes and well, we HAVE to use Illustrator for it anyway because the source files have to be in vector formats.

Are there any suggestions I can take? I can show you the end result too if you'd like too.

Thanks, Rob

and I thought this might be a great gift for my grandson. He is into robots and such, and this might be great to get him into Illustrator. Do you have the package? Do you think it would be good for a very smart and artistic 10 year-old?
