Strange dotted line in illustrator workplace.

Strange dotted line suddenly appeared to illustrator program when i started illustrator next day.

How can i get rid of it?

I made red circle around it in paint.

When i closed illustrator in evening everything was ok, and next morning that strange line was there suddenly and i just cant rid of it.

The same problem was about a year ago, then i unchecked some box somewhere, but i dont remember anymore where it was. :confused:

It is not a strange dotted line, it's just the page tiling. To turn it off select View>Hide Page Tiling from the menu bar.

The same problem was about a year ago
...and since then, nobody even bothered looking it up in the help file. Now that's what I call motivation...

Some times it really gets me how people can find a forum, and post a question (along with screen shot) but they can't seem to figure out how to look in the HELP section of the application.

One thing to say in their defense is that sometimes help files are not too intuitive. If you do not know what it is you are looking for, you may not have much luck finding it. I mean, if you pull up the Illustrator Help and search for "Strange Dotted Line" it is not going to come back with Page Tiling.
