Hi there,
I'm trying to follow the Revolve tutorial in the 9th issue of the Illustrator Techniques but I have some problems getting the same result described in the
article. In particular what I don't grasp is how to avoid Illustrator to draw the behind part of the mapped art.
In the tutorial (step #8 picture) Illustrator is clearly not drawing the mapped art *behind* the revolved shape and I cannot figure out how the author has managed to instruct the app to do that. It seems that the mapped art is fully opaque (not only the circles, but the whole bounding box rectangle) but in the previous steps there is nothing that confirmed this impression.
Any hints?
I'm using Illustator CS2.
