Hi!
I have a map that have been sent to me done in Illustrator. It has been done using lots of strokes. Is there an easy way of re-sizing this map? It need to be about half it original size, but when re-sizing the strokes still stay at 5pt and completely mess up the map.
Please help!
Jules

Hi Jules,
Select your map.
Double-click on the Scale tool (s).
In the Options, select "Scale Strokes and Effects."
Check "Preview" to check it out.
Press OK.
Hope this helps!

If the map is going to be placed into a layout application, such as Quark or InDesign, when the image is scaled to fit the block, the strokes will be scaled accordingly.
Since the graphic was created using vectors in Illustrator, the graphic is independant of resolution, allowing the layout application to make the best use of the graphic without the distortion of a pixel based graphic.
