Printing Problems

Hi.
I am having problems printing my documents as a pdf. I am having this problem in both Illustrator and InDesign. When I go to print I change the printer to Adobe PDF and change my other settings as needed. Usualy that would create a PDF file on my desktop, but for some reason its not making a file at all. Its not even giving me an error. I can however export the document as a pdf, but thats not usually how I make my pdf.

I am using cs2 on a G5 PowerMac with Tiger.

Anyone have any ideas?

And what happens if you use the "Acrobat Distiller"?

Don't print... save as and choose PDf from the drop down menu.

Hi,

If you're trying to print, choose the Name of printer you're trying to print to from the dropdown menu, not Adobe PDF. And then choose the printer model under PPD. Adobe PDF is used when you're printing to (saving) a Postscript file to make an Acrobat through Distiller.
