Hi - a search in these forums has not turned this up. Sorry if this topic is a repeat.

(A blend originally in a FreeHand file - I'm migrating from FreeHand, oh joy.) I'd like to alter one of the initial shapes defining the blend retrospectively (with the blend in place) like you could in FreeHand. Though I'm able to select the shape, I don't seem to be able to alter it (ie, scale it or move anchor points on the path) and have the blend update it's contours. I've tried the direct selection tool.

Thanks in advance

You should be able to alter either shape at the ends of the blend. Perhaps it's merely an issue since the blend is imported from Freehand??

When the Freehand file is exported to Illustrator, it converts the blend, much like if you were to use the EXPAND function in Illustrator. You can delete the objects, and make a new blend in illustrator, then you would be able to edit the objects, and the blend properties as you would in Freehand.

Hi. Thank you.

Sorry for taking a time to respond, but I'd not chosen the notification type.

I'm recreating blends and find I am able to alter the shapes as I'd expected. There seem to be a number of items that you're best off recreating when you've imported a file from FreeHand.

Thanks again for taking the time - appreciated.
