Hi,
I have several files that were built in CS. When I try to open them in CS3 the masked art from CS disappears. The workaround: I have to unmask the artwork (doesn't matter if vector or placed images were originally masked), redraw the mask, and re-mask the art in CS3.
Has anyone encountered this issue? I have an example file to email someone if they want to play around with it.
Another issue I have is copying from an Illustrator file and pasting into a new CS3 document. The masks shift around. It's like the clipboard can't handle complex files--I have a new Aluminum Intel Mac. So, the workaround is to individually copy/paste layers to keep the art file the way it should look. I never had a problem with copy/pasting files from CS to CS2. But, boy am I running into issues with CS3.
