Illustrator and livetrace, silhouette, streamline..

I only have illustrator CS at home and am really missing the livetrace capability, i have heard of various plug ins and supporting programs, but where and how can i get them, ahem, cheaply? is there any other way of converting photos to line art in illustraor cs anyway?hmmmm.
