hi ! i'm a new user my name is MichelD.

so for my sencond post since my first was a answer to another post lol..

i got a problem with illustrator CS3


when i set my view a 100% i cant work cause ist too small ... someone know about keep the 100% view and see a bigger image ?

i try to go 400% but that give me a crappy image .. or text



sorry for my ortograph im french lol ...

You will find that in Illustrator, you will have to zoom in and out constantly. Personally, I don't even pay attention half the time I just zoom in and out as needed. As long as my artboard is set up correctly what I am viewing on-screen will not matter.

Since illustrator deals with vectors, your image should not look "crappy" unless you have placed a raster image on the artboard. Otherwise all vector objects should look as good at any zoom factor.

you should save all raster images for web with 72ppi (pixel per inch = dpi on prints) in the original dimensions. for digitalprints you should save them with 150ppi and for offsetprints you should take 300 to 311 ppi.

with these settings raster images shouldn't look "crappy" on your artboard.
