I'm trying to learn to use the gradient mesh tool.
It's not working the way I've researched and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if there is something wrong with ai.
When I go over my object with the gradient mesh 'arrow',
It always has a little 'can't work here' symbol UNTIL I'm directly over a line.
I've tried selecting and deselecting the object.
Soooo, instead of clicking anywhere within the circle to make a highlight, I have to go up to the objects menu > click gradient mesh > fill input in the box > pick a lighter color > go to wire view > then click dead on one of the points.
That's the only way I can get it to work. With everything I've read, I should just be able to click anywhere in the circle with the GM tool selected.
Am I doing something wrong?
