I shoot all of my digital pictures in camera raw using an Olympus E-500. I transfer the images from the flash card to Oly's propriatary software and then I convert from the .ORF format to Adobe's .DNG format. When I open an image into camera raw from the Bridge or Photoshop itself, always in the upper right side of my monitor there is a symbol that I don't know what it means, and i haven't seen it mentioned in any of the books that I have read about Photoshop or Camera Raw. It is a Yellow triangle that has a black exclamation mark in the center of it. I thought I might ask here first before I attempt to brave the waters of the digital elitists that one might encounter there.

Thanks for any help you can give me

In general, in photoshop, a yellow caution mark means "out of gamut."

I don't know what the yellow caution mark means in your particular situation. My digital camera won't shoot RAW and I have no experience with the format.

The yellow triangle with the exclaimation mark in camera raw usually means that camera raw is updating. If it goes away after a few minutes, there should be no problem.

If you really want to understand Camera RAW well, I recommend "Real World Camera RAW" by Bruce Fraser.

Thanks for your help. Yes it does go away after a biot. I had thought that it was warning of mismatched color spaces, but Drive by is right. It is camera raw updating the cache for the file. I found the symbol in the Photoshop help about the 4th time I went in search ofwhat it might mean. On my monitor the help files are so small. Thanks again
