I'm trying to find a commercial printer who can accept InDesign files in their native format. I'm in Atlanta. Any ideas?

Toad:
There are 18 Adobe Authorized Service providers in Atlanta alone (more than 70 in all of Georgia) and they all output native InDesign files--no sweat (print shops still using Quark want to make you think that nobody out there outputs InDesign files, but it just ain't so). OK, so how did I find out that there were 18 shop in Atlanta? I cheated. Just go to http://partners.adobe.com/public/partnerfinder/psp/show_find.do
That lets you search Adobe Authorized service providers by city and state, so I went there and typed in Atlanta, and within a seconds a full list, with full contact info came right up.
Hope that helps.

I've worked with York Graphic Services in York PA on several issues of a military professional journal published from Florida. I send them a CD with the ID files, plus fonts, graphics & photos. They send a 3M Matchprint for review, and then they print the journal. I believe they also have an FTP site, but it's diffcult to use FTP from a military network. If you're interested, contact Roger DiBiase at roger.dibiase@ygsc.com or 717-505-9701 ext. 320.

Don't forget about Acrobat. Send PDFs, no font problems, no 3rd party finger problems, your files are as secure as you want them to be, and PDFing the files can run a flight check (RGB files, wrong resolution etc.) and you don't have to worry who has what apps.
Good Luck
