hi,
i am wondering how to use paint bucket because i think its a little different to photoshop ? example if i draw a circle and then draw another circle inside that first circle, should i be able to fill in between those two lines with the paint bucket ?????? anyone can help would be very helpful thanks ,,,,,

To fill where the circles intersect you would not use the paint bucket tool.

To accompish what you are describing above: Select both overlapping circles, then under the pathfinder menu, select 'divide'. Next, get your hollow arrow tool and select where the circles intersect. Now you can choose a fill color from your swatch palette.

Megan,

I don't think that's going to work unless the circles overlap.

Just select the 2 circles and go to Menu> Object> Compound Path> Make [Command-8]. Then give it a fill color.

Live paint...Thats the ticket. Unless there is another Paint Bucket, Live Paint is your choice. (CS2 and CS3 - Can't remember 10 or earlier). Select all your objects, grab your Live paint bucket iand click on what you want to paint.
