Colour change of pattern swatch

Can I change the colour of a pre-set pattern swatch, and if so, how? E.g. the gray stipple to brown stipple?

Hi fern,

Drag the swatch from the Swatches panel to the artboard. Change it's colors, then drag the entire thing back to the Swatches Panel.

If you have applied the pattern swatch to one or more shapes and have changed the colors per Scott's instructions, you can Option-drag it on top of the original pattern swatch in the Swatch palette, then it will replace the old swatch and automatically change the colors where ever you have applied it.
