Best way to draw/trace with Pen Tablet?

hi, what's the best way to draw/trace with Pen Tablet in illustrator? or the best preferences?

for ex. i want to trace a skecth..what are the best brushes, way, settings, it is better to use the brush tool or pencil, etc...
