Hi All,
I run an online t shirt site with a partner which has become pretty successful. He does all the design and I handle sales and marketing. I've decided to try out a site on my own so I'm now learning illustrator. I just received Adobe Illustrator Classroom in a Book and went thru lesson one last night. I'm really excited and can't wait to learn more so that I can get my new site off the ground. I'm sure I'll be coming here a lot for help so I might owe some people some free shirts once I'm done lol.

Best,

No offense but if you are new to Illustrator I think the classroom in a book series is a (how should I put this?) ...a bad place to start.

I recommend getting the Illustrator Wow book (http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Illustrator-CS3-Wow-Book/dp/032151842X) or even better get Deke McClelland's Illustrator One-On-One series (http://movielibrary.lynda.com/html/modListing.asp?pid=336) of DVDs.

While the classroom in a book series does have some good info, I hate the way it's organized and it's boring to look at. It's just not going to get you excited about Illustrator like some of the other resources I mentioned.
