I need to move Dreamweaver CS3 from my old mac to my new mac. Does anyone know how to transfer the license for CS3 on a mac?

I have CS3 on my G4 and I just recently installed it in my new mac book laptop. Didn't have any license issues even when running both computers and both with Photoshop open.
Anyone else?

When I moved mine from my desktop to my new lappy, I just deactivated it on the desktop before uninstalling it and then installed it on the laptop. But I belive you are allowed to have the product on 2 computers.

How do you deactivate CS3?
Go to the help menu, it is under activation down at the bottom. Then you uninstall it. But don't throw it in your trash can or however you do it on mac. They say this could lead to prombles.

Here it is.
On the Mac, DO NOT drag applications to the trash to uninstall them. To
safely uninstall software, double-click
the product installer in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
Authenticate as an administrator, then select
Remove Components and follow the on-screen instructions.
If that doesn't exist anymore-

and

the last link is a removal tool for both win/mac

According to the EULA for CS3 you are aloud to have it on 1 laptop and 1 desktop as long as the software is not being used at the same time. In practice you can use both versions at the same time. Also it is often, but not always, possible to get a 3rd installation out of the software. I haven't had to install a 3rd but the EULA seems to indicate it may work. The 3rd is supposed to be kinda like a grace perion from Adobe.

Thanks for verifying that for us curtis because I just wasn't sure. However, if he is not going to be using that mac anymore or passing it on to someone else there is no reason to waste an activation on that machine.

@mitz very true. No need to waste an activation on a computer you will no longer use.

Everyone says the samethings but I'm not seeing activation or deactivate under help. The registration etc. doesn't do anything. Here is an image of what my help menu looks like. Any other ideas?

I have register (greyed out…*guess that's cause i regitered)
Activate
Deactivate
Updates
You have buy e-licence and return e-licence, I would susspect that returning e-licence would be the same thing as deactivating. Activation is usually for the whole suite, do you have DreamWeaver only? I would ask Adobe as I can't afford to mess up my licences.

Dreamweaver by itself has the decativation to. Because I bought just dreamweaver then fig out what I really needed was the web premium. I deactivated my stand alone dreamweaver and gave it to someone eles trying to learn it. I think his has more to do with it being a download and not from a disk. I agree with lukas, call adobe firsrt to be on the safe side.

This was actually installed from a disk.
