Has anyone had any experience with Watch and Learn Flash (dotcom) training videos? I have enjoyed their Illustrator tutorials (bought one volume and watched the weekly freebies for a couple years now). But wondered how their Intro to Flash CS3 training (or Advanced stuff) compares with the other Tutorial Training sites out there.
Any feedback on this?

It looks like this is not the easiest program to learn. A lot of codes and commands to to learned.
I note a lot of goodies for sale at the Adobe Exchange for Flash and Dreamweaver which suggests others would rather (or need to) buy someoe else's goodies to help them in their work with these programs. For other apps at the Exchange most downloads are free!
I am absolutely, positively, hooked...Flash is amazing, but granted, not the easiest Adobe program to master. On the other hand, the great thing about Flash is that it is easy enough to get your feet wet with basic projects. I actually have learned basics and specialty skills right here on the Layers website- snoop around--you'll discover first rate tutorials galore. The Adobe site is also Flash tutorial rich, for all levels of knowledge seekers...start with the basics and evolve into action script...buy a book or two, there are even tons of tutorials on "you tube" ( make sure you are clear on what version of action script because there is a difference...)
Nope, it isn't "easy", but the Flash community is so helpful...many of the "gurus" have blogs and websites and make themselves very accessible...just like the guys and gals on this site...last but not least...download the adobe media player and check out layers tv asap
There is much to learn about Flash and all of its creative potential, but remember that the journey is more than half the fun ! Enjoy...

I strongly recomend learing Flash. There are many tools out there that will help you along the way and many tutorials. gotoandlearn.com (http://gotoandlearn.com) offers some great tutorials and depending on the topic you are working on you will find other sites that describe things in ways that you will beter understand. Peakstudios.com (http://peakstudios.com) has some tutorials on guestbooks and other uses of flash for the more dynamic sites i would recomend along with interactions between flash, Actionscripts, PHP or ASP even Java (being tested) and your database.
Flash even takes advantage of the diferent browsers. If you write in PHP for example you may have errors on firefox that you dont in IE however flash covers all of your bases so you don't have that probelm. this is just one of the million advantages you have with flash!!
