I am doing the tutorial in episode 4 of Layers TV it is a over sized post card where you input text fields for a form on a post card, I get to the point where he says click on the text field tool and drag a box, I cant find the text field tool. I must be a retard. I did lots of searches in the Help section of Acrobat 9 pro ext. I did see something "Imagine this Mac user’s dismay when he learned Acrobat 9 Pro Extended is for Windows only!" they are using a MAC to do the tut vid, I can only assume it isn't acrobat 9 pro extended they are running. Must be quite a few changes in Acro 9. Hope I am not being a pest, Just trying to Learn.

Update! during this post I kept trying.

I found if you click on the Forms Icon you can input a text field. It id an option at the top of input fields. When you open the edit fields menu it opens a whole new tool bar menu on the left of the document. You click on the input text field and it gives you a box, Name the box and it gives you the option to make it a required input. If you don't want that just click outside the text field description box and it closes the pop up. Now you have to resize the box to fit the area in the form you want the input info to go. ( in the tut vid they show dragging a box for a text field input then a pop up name box has to be fill in follwed by close) Not any more! I am almost 100% positive the TUT was not done in Acrobat 9 Pro ext. Still anyone that can shed some light on this it would be helpful. Tom

OK its on the forms Icon in the tool bar. When you click it has the option add or edit fields, when you click that option, it is trys to auto find form spaces for you. If you click no it will launch the input fields tool bar on the side of the document. There is the input text area tool. FYI if anyone cares!

Eureka!
One last thing when you launch the field editor it will give you the option to show the tools on the tool bar. I just got this program, First time I ever used it. No I hope by default the text field tool will remain there. It wasn't an option when you right click the tool bar to load this icon.
