View Full Version : After Effects CS4?

I currently own CS3 Web Premium. I know that the CS4 apps will be coming out on September 23rd. I will soon need to purchase After Effects. If I wait until the brand new version comes out, will it be compatible with all of my CS3 apps? Or should I buy After Effects CS3 while I still can?

Not sure if that is the release date. I think they are making an announcement about CS4. Seems that it won't be launched until 16 - 19 November, possibly or into the first quarter of 2009, perhaps?

I'm not sure on that though. It's just what I heard.

As far as compatibility goes, I don't know.

Just discovered that After Effects CS4 will only work on Intel Macs. I have an Intel laptop and a Power PC desktop. I do most of my work on the desktop, since I have a large monitor. Guess that means I buy CS3 soon rather than CS4 later.

Sorry, what I meant was that the only Macs that CS4 will work on are those of the Intel variety. Of course CS4 will work on all Windows machines.
