need info on monitors

Hi, new to this but need info from people who know.
I am just now getting into full color design work and need to know what is the best monitor that works with mac for best color rendering when reproducing.
Any answers?

Are you wanting to use an LCD or CRT? It'll be hard to find a CRT any more. I'd look at the apple displays. The 23 inch display is a nice balance to price and performance. Some displays it's size are cheaper, but most of them don't perform like the apple displays. Any way you go irrelevant of brand or type you'll need to get something to calibrate and profile the monitor. It will be essential for color management purposes. I use spyder2 Pro, and like it very much. Best of luck to you.
