Hi,

I designed some artwork, including a logo, for a client of mine using CS2. She can't open the EPS files I sent her because she is on a very old version of Quark... so now she needs the logo files as hi-resolution (600dpi) artwork for some printers that are going to blow it up quite large... apparently I am sending her 72 dpi, but I can't find where to change that setting.

Help?

If you designed the art in Illustrator, then why is resolution a problem - unless you have pixel images embedded or rasterized part or all of the art?

What does Quark have to do with the EPS files? She should be placing them in Quark, not trying to open them with it. The preview image that Quark sees is 72dpi, but if linked properly will output at full res.

Have a look under the Effect menu.

Effect>Document Raster Effects Settings....

Although vectors are resolution independent, pixel based images in AI will use the settings you specify in the above dialogue box.

If this is vector art, she is making a big mistake. The printers would much rather have vector. If not, then they are hacks…
