Ever since I installed CS3 Design Premium I can't view online PDF files in IE. I get a message that states "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running cannot be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser. Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required. Please exit and try againg." I am runninig Adobe Reader v9. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
I am using XP SP3, IE7

Try registering your version of Reader 9.

I tried that and it didn't work, so I did what many have done - uninstalled 9 and reinstalled 8.
Thanks anyway,

Seems like that is the solution, until Adobe fix the problem with 9.

I think the reason is that you installed Acrobat Professional with the Adobe CS and this is now your default program for PDFs. Naturally IE can't open a PDF with Acrobat Professional.
So you could try to go to a PDF in your files, right click and choose "open with" and "choose standard program" and change this to Acrobat Reader. That could help.
If this is not the reason you could look in IE under Addons, if there is an addon for Acrobat Reader and if it is activ.

Thanks Susanne - I had missed your reply. I suspect that you are correct as I had to do that action anyway, even after reinstalling the V8 reader. One day when I have time I will reinstall the V9 reader and see if that also cures it.
