I want to create a rounded rectangle shape layer (not fill pixels but a shape layer) and make it so it doesn't anti-alias. Any idea how I can do that? Can I do that???

Vector shapes:
Select the shape tool you want from the tools palette (rectangle, oval, custom, etc)
Select the Shape Layers button in the Options menu (1st button in the set of 3: Shape Layers, Paths, Fill pixels)
This will create a new layer (with a vector mask) when you drag out the shape.
If you need to change the color at some time double click on the layer thumbnail to bring up the color picker.

Kathy,

Thanks for the reply. I do know how to do all of that. The problem is that whenver I create a shape layer, it anti-aliases on me (obviously only parts that are rounded or are otherwise not completely horizontal or vertial anti-alias) which is not what I want. The only way that I've been able to get a choice in the matter is to use the fill pixels option which has an anti-alias checkbox. That isn't the tool that I wanted to use.

Hmmm..

Mike, which version of PS are you using?
If you zoom in the rounded edges will look a bit anti aliased. It is a vector that can be scalled up without degridation though.

Nevermind. The forum was telling me that my reply "CS2" wasn't long enough is all...

Hmmm...
I think it will anti-alias the curves in the vector layer. Maybe this is an Illustrator job?

Nah. Mostly I'm just trying to get it to do it to save time. Going back and forth from Illustrator to Photoshop isn't going to save me any time. So I'll just suck it up and do a fill pixels, save as gif and crop.
