I am creating an email campaign exporting slices (.gifs) from Photoshop into Dreamweaver where I am adding hotlinks. When I get done and view the HTML in the IE browser I get a series of white horizontal lines appearing wear my slices should be coming together. It seems to happen escpecially when I add the hotlinks. Not sure why. I have attached an image. If anyone knows the solve to this issue...please let me know.
Thanks

Not all browsers handle all HTML the same. Some browsers like to add in some spacing before or after certain elements, and more than likely that is what is happening in this case. Without seeing the exact document structure it is almost impossible to guess exactly what is causing the extra spacing.

On top of browsers looking different each email client looks different. Outlook 2003 used the rendering engine of IE 6 but Outlook 2007 uses the engine from Word (who ever thought IE 6 would look good?). You should look at the email standards project (http://www.email-standards.org/) and watch the videos on making html emails over at CSS-Tricks (http://css-tricks.com/new-screencast-creating-and-sending-html-emails/). Unfortunatley you will probably have to rebuild your email with that info under your belt.
