With Internet Explorer (useless as an E-mail program) you could load Acrobat into the Tool bar and use it to save out E-mail files as "Interactive" files. Very useful for clearing out but keeping important -ish E-mails.

Does anyone know if this is possible (and if so, how to do it), In Firefox or even Safari and other browsers and E-mail "servers"?

Looks like ABC Amber Thunderbird Converter for around $20.00 will do this. I have found a trial version - does 10 messages at a time on the trial but looks good. Assembles and Titles interactive messages. Anyone have experience with this or know of a better system?

I think I have answered my own Question on this. This is a great program. It even creates interactive (linked Index) files in Ms Word format. Ctrl click the links and it carries you to the message. I tried this with my collected Layers Tips of the Day and found it very nice. Saving as Word or as pdf would make it easy to edit and collect just the tips from the extraneous E-mail header/ads and stuff in such E-mails to create a compilation of tips.

Worth checking out if you need to save Mozilla E-mail files for any reason.

I got the full application (the key code) and ran this program today on all files in a folder. It took only seconds to generate the PDF and the Word Files. While the files are huge this is a good program to save valuable E-mail and then clear it from the E-mail server. Businesses who need to keep E-mails for any reason or to save your Forum tips or conversations would find this valuable. [I urge folks to keep any boss-employee communication or any sensitive E-mails in case of need in any disputes too - just an aside here. Also get them off your work site. Personal experience with a nasty company.]

I had a computer crash one year and lost all E-mail (client contact info etc) so for folks like me having a backup is worthwhile. It does create huge files - so would need to be put onto a DVD-ROM perhaps to save your computer memory and for those times when your computer does die and E-mail files cannot be restored.

Anyhow I like this for the price and thought others might like to be aware of it.

I am on a Windows/XP Platform so I do not know how Mozilla and this works in MAC. FYI.

At least until Mozilla have the same features as IE Explorer with regard to Adobe Acrobat and saving files that way.

Why can't you just print to PDF?

Eugene,

I'll look at your link but printing to PDF is not poossible in batch mode? You have to do it 1 at a time - unless I am missing something.

Will see what the add-on is all about.

Though I am amazed at the capabilities of producing an interactive word file. I guess I did not know you could embed searchable inter-links within Word. Learn new stuff everyday.

Update: Just looked at the comments on that link. It is a Nitro product which I tried before - never liked it then and certainly those user comments don't inspire much confidence now.
