Hi,
I am totally new at fireworks. I went to the library and they had 0 books, so I found some online help. I ran into some confusion. Is there a difference between Fireworks 4 & Fireworks cs4? I know the disk I bought only said Fireworks 4. I did not know there was more than one (if there is).
But online it mentioned smart guide and I don't think I have that option. and styles and a few other things.
I like what I have, but the other could make me envious.

Fireworks 4 is definitely not CS4. I think CS4 is version 10 and is no longer owned by Macromedia but by the Almighty Adobe.

Joeparis is correct. CS4 is version 10 and definitely not the same as Fireworks 4. I remember getting my first Fireworks was version 3 and around the year 2000, so it's a pretty old version you bought.

Don't get me wrong. Old doesn't mean useless. It just won't do a lot of the cooler things the last few versions have been able to do.
