I'm trying to put together a poster board with multiple layers, yet don't want it to look like an novice has done it. How would I blend each of the layers?

Impossible to say Lori without something to look at. There are so many ways of blending in Photoshop that you kind of have to experiment around and see which ones you like.

Look up these topics in help:
Blending modes
Masks
Opacity

This should get you started.

I guess I neglected to say that I am a novice......I have tried the opacity, and blending modes and it's just not what I have in mind. I will try to work with the masks and see what kind of results I can get. It will be a 44" x 44" poster that I will place about 25 to 30 pictures of our communiites, people and activities. It will then be mounted on a white board and displayed at Annual Conference......but since this is the first one that I'll be doing, I wanted it to be a little more "professional" looking.....if you know what I mean.....Thanks for your suggestions Paul!

Ish - Why use the eraser when a mask is a non-destructive way to do the same thing? It allows you to change your mind (which I often do).
