sweet! thanks guys!

tsummerall, have you used this yet? can you tell us a little more about it? i have very verry little experience with site building. i can design a site, but the actual creating and maintainence is hard for me. i've watched the Lynda.com tutorials for GoLive, but it is still a lot to learn. on the other hand, i am very competent with Photoshop. would this be a good help to me, or would i be better off learning more of GoLive?

any insight would be appreciated.
thank you.

801:

SiteGrinder is a plug-in specifically designed so that people who know Photoshop but don't know (or don't like) web tools could still make powerful web sites that are compliant with modern web standards.

Most of its features work by just naming layers. A layer named "home-button" becomes a button leading to your homepage, for example.

I suggest you check out the features page (click here) (http://www.medialab.com/sitegrinder/features) .

And then download the demo (http://www.medialab.com/sitegrinder/downloadthedemo.html) and start playing around with it.

801, if your competent with Photoshop, you should check out sitegrinder. I have been struggling with webdesign for a long time but never got anywhere. Golive is a monster. I bought "Golive CS Classroom in a book" and went through every lesson in the book but still I find Golive a pain.
I downloaded Sitegrinder a week ago and looked into it on a friday afternoon. It takes some getting used to but it has good documentation and tutorials which nicely show all the features. Also their support is very good. At a certain moment I got stuck and could't figure out why. So I sent them an e-mail and got a quick reply which solved my problem.
Once you get it (just name the layers) it is really easy, and yet the program is very powerful.
If you are competent with Photoshop you'll be surprised how quickly you will be spitting out websites.
