I'm new user to AE cs3, my PC specs. are as follow:
OS: XP64
processor: AMD phenom X4 2.5 GHz
memory: 4GB
VGA: ATI Radeon HD3870X2 1GB
internal storage: 1x 150gb (10000RPM)
2x 500GB
external storage: 1x 1TB(FW800/FW400/USB 2.0 connectivity)

what are the best memory & cache settings? and how can I benefit from my hard drives?

I have been using IrfanView for 3 years and its a great piece of software. But Ive noticed that after 4.10, no new version has come up.

Is the program still in development?
