Can anyone help?
When I open an illustrator eps in photoshop it just appears as a white box. This action only happens intermittently and if I reboot and try again it seems to open up ok. But then 5 minutes later if I try and open another illustrator eps in photoshop it does the same thing.
Does anyone have any answers for me as it is really annoying me!!
Please help!!
Thanks in advance

You will get a better result if you export an Illustrator file to the Photoshop format and then open this with Photoshop rather than open an Illustrator file directly with Photoshop.
I always export -- it works that much better.
But all that rebooting stuff sounds as if something more may be going on.
Mac? PC? Illustrator and Photoshop Version Numbers? These specifics may help.

Thanks for your reply! I am using a G4 Mac and Illustrator CS and Photoshop CS
Would be better to export i know but I have a bank of lots of eps logos, and is quicker if I just open in photoshop (if ya know what I mean). This whole problem of having to reboot to make it work has only been happening for the last couple of weeks, its frustrating!! EPS logos used to open fine in photoshop!
Thanks again!
Hi Jules,
Do you make regular maintenance of your Mac ? If not, it could be the cause of the problem. Try these :
- delete the preferences of Illustrator and Photoshop;
- repair permissions;
- run the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance scripts;
- clean the caches, old files, etc.
Except for the first part, you could get an app that makes those maintenance and cleaning jobs (like Onyx at : http://www.titanium.free.fr/ ) it's free and works well. There are others to.
If you do make regular maintenance, well, don't read this ! ;)
