Book color mode in Swatch Options

I've notice that there is a color mode "book color" that my color palette is defaulting to when loaded into new Illustrator CS2 files. How can I get CMYK or RGB to be the default on all new documents, with Global selected?

The way to set CMYK or RGB as the default is in the New... dialog box.

When you choose New from the file menu the bottom of the box has a radio button for CMYK and for RGB.

If you choose CMYK, then every new document will still have CMYK selected until you choose RGB again.
