Is there a good resource/tutorial about taking a print magazine and making a digital version in the PDF format? I have seen some magazines that offer a digital version as a interactive PDF.
Here are the things I am interested in achieving:
1. Keeping the file size small as possible (90-100 pages at about 25-30MB)
2. Keeping the images/ads looking good
3. Links to advertisers websites from their ad
4. Interactive Table of Contents with links to the features and departments
5. Tabs on all edit pages that link to the TOC and Index
I am using Quark for the print magazine, but think this may be a good time to switch to inDesign if it helps to produce the print and digital versions.
