Fireworks will not start

I am working in Mac OS 10.5.6
When I launch Fireworks I get the following error...
"The appilcation Fireworks quit unexpectedly"
I have searched other forums for solutions and some people seem to believe that the number of fonts loaded on the system is a factor. I only have 103 fonts loaded.
Can anyone help?
I want to try some of the stuff that RC showed on the last Layers TV episode but I cant!

After plenty of searching I found the problem. One of my fonts was corrupt.
To solve the problem I went to User>Library>Fonts and moved all of the fonts in that folder to another folder that I created on my desktop. Then I started Fireworks and everything worked fine. I then started moving fonts back a few at a time and starting Fireworks until I found the font that kept the program from starting.
