Hi,
I would like to cut a shape from a rectangle with the scribble effect applied so that the background shows through. File attached (edit - couldnt attach file due to file size limit, even compressed).
I can use pathfinder to subtract the shape but this doesn't give me the result I want as the scribble bleeds into the shape I'm cutting out.
Anyone know how to do this or can suggest a better method? The effect I'm trying to achieve is a large area of chalk which has a clean swipe from a chalkboard rubber through it. I'm just experimenting with a star shape at the moment.
Is the problem that the scribble effect is applied to the whole layer and/or the whole compound path which results from the pathfinder subtract?
Thanks,
Luke.
