Greetings all,

here you are the image with point of the problem I have with. It is not basic problem how to create particular element or shape but I have trouble in CS2 how to copy them and arrange into the identical distance and angle. Arranging of several elements around the center and in circular layout is for sure problem.

I am afraid that this question can not be simple answered so I am grateful for any hint and tips.

Cheers :)

Srecko,

If you already have your shapes then rotating and copying around a central point is no problem.

Select the object (or group of objects) and select the Rotate Tool. Alt+click on the centre of rotation. This will open a dialog. If you know the size of the angle you wish to rotate then enter it, otherwise, enter 360/8 (8 being the number of objects in your picture - but obviously it's up to you - Illustrator will do the calculation). Click Copy. Hit Ctrl(Cmd)+D to repeat the transformation.

Obviously you might need to set up some guides if you want accuracy.

Aww shucks thanks but I think I probably heard about that trick along time ago from Deke McClelland or Mordy Golding.

Glad you found it useful! Isn't Illustrator wonderful??

You are right Husker- Illustrator is wonderful and I use just some of its possibilities. I am amazed when I see that some people manage to work whole full color paintings in Illustrator, I am limited in the moment on the drawings only and it work perfectly :)

Cheers :)
