i am placing about 20 files in one illustrator file. The basic shape is the same for each, im only changing what is visible and invisible i make a new file.
However, when i import and resize them - getting them the exactly same size seems to be a hit and miss - usually it doesnt work, when i zoom in there is sometimes the smallest difference. snapping to grid it turned on.
I expect the problem has something to do with the fact the what is being aligned is the page of the placed file, but even then i dont understand how its not consistent.
The real problem i am trying to work around is rather than align an object, i wish to make it the exact same size as another.
