SWF file into indesign document (probably a dumb question)

Hi all-- I'm having a problem inserting a swf file into my indesign document. I get an error saying there is no filter found for the request.

where can i find a filter?

I've inserted quicktime movies before, and they've been fine, but i don't want to convert to quicktime.

what am i missing?

Might be related to the version of ID ? In CS, I have no problems either placing a .swf file or dragging it from the desktop.

I'm on CS1. I really can't seem to figure this out. Everything i've read says this should be doable.
