Hi,
I am new to the forum (looks promising!)...
As a new user of IDCS2, I was wondering if there is away to export or move objects (and in this particular case, guides) within a layer, or the whole layer itself, to a master page? I have never encountered the need to do so before, but at this moment, it would be helpful to be able to do so.

Is the answer under my nose, or is this impossible?

Thanks heaps!
Matt:)

Ha haaa.
Yup the obvious. Thanks... I hadn't tried that cos it seemed to obvious so I spent time looking for a key command...
Well, at least it was good for a laugh.
Thanks DCurry.

If you need to move guides AND page objects, you'll have to copy and paste each separately...that is copy all the guides and paste into the master page, then go back and do the same for page objects (InDesign keeps you from accidentally copying or moving objects and guides at the same time). If you have laid out a document page you like, simply drag the document page icon (in the Pages palette) into the Master page section and presto: You now have a master page with all of your objects on it.

Hope that helps.
