“How Photoshop CS4 Saved the Day” Winner 1

Hey everyone, happy Monday!  I’m happy to report that the judges have come back with the winner of the “How Photoshop CS4 Saved the Day” for last week.  Below is the story for Nancy Minor of Ocala, FL.  She shares with us how stock imagery and a little bit of Photoshop was able to help her in a clutch scenario:

NeoBaby-NGH-1How Photoshop CS4 Saved My Day
Recently at work, we had a need for a photo of a newborn baby shown wearing one of the securement devices that our company makes. My company did not have the time to set up a photo shoot, get a newborn baby and take several shots. Besides, who wants to volunteer their newborn to a photo shoot? We thought maybe a doll would work, but it looked too fake. So, I decided to purchase a photo of a newborn from stock photography and use Photoshop CS4 and its layers to put our securement device on the baby’s face. I was able to make several versions of the baby with the securement device using the layers and blending features, and it worked. My boss and coworkers were very impressed. They did not know that I could do something like that. Photoshop CS4 is like a powerful tool in the hands of a creative surgeon. We now use these photos in several of our promotional pieces and get many compliments on them. Because I was able to use the various layers and special blending effects, the securement device looks like it was naturally on the baby, and it didn’t even cost very much to put it together. Thanks Photoshop CS4, you saved my day and my company a lot of money!

Congratulations to you Nancy! If you want to read more on the How Photoshop CS4 Saved the Day, make sure you check out the How Photoshop CS4 Saved the Day website!
