Janine Warner
Janine Warner is an author, speaker, journalist, and Internet consultant.
Since 1996, she's written more than a dozen books about the Internet and design, including Dreamweaver 8 For Dummies (now in its sixth edition), Teach Yourself Visually Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, Creating Family Web Sites For Dummies, and Digital Family Album Basics, the first in a new series she created with Watson-Guptill.
She's a popular speaker at trade shows and conferences, and her Total Training videos on Dreamweaver 8 have won multiple awards.
From 1998 to 2000, Janine worked for The Miami Herald, first as their Online Managing Editor and later as Director of New Media, managing a team of designers, programmers, journalists, and marketing staff that produced The Miami Herald Online, El Nuevo Herald Online, and Miami.com. She also served as Director of Latin American Operations for CNET Networks, an international technology media company.
She has been a part-time faculty member at both the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and the University of Miami, and she developed online learning and multimedia training programs for the Western Knight Center for Specialized Journalism. She earned a degree in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and began her career in Northern California as a reporter and editor.
Over the years, her expertise in multimedia, technology, and education have taken her on consulting assignments from Miami to Mexico and speaking engagements from New York to New Delhi.
