Hey everyone! Welcome back from a great 2 days over at Photoshop World. Now, while the gang was out in Las Vegas, I was here combing the interwebs finding the coolest content this side of… well.. the Layers Website. But first, let’s get a couple of contests out of the way over here.

Steve Holmes on After Effects
Check out this really cool tutorial on how to make smoke text in After Effects. You’ll be glad you did:

Type animation is one of the most wonderful functions to play with in After Effects, especially since version 6 introduced actual text character animation control. With CS3 adding per-character 3D control, typographic motion design has never been more fun. Let’s create some cool smoky type.

A bit of topic question, but i hope u take a minute. I live in El Salvador, Central America, and I’m going to Miami in two weeks so I was wondering if you could recomend a camera store (something like B&H) that I can visit in that city. Thanks for your time,!

We missed you at Vegas Photoshop World. It definitely wasn’t the same without you. I even wrote down my RC questions so I wouldn’t forget to ask. Good thing I didn’t bring that moon pie. Hope you, your wife & the next little RC are fantastically well.

Hey everyone.. thanks so much for the well wishes. I’m actually still on the waiting game right now .. so that’s a bit of a anxious mess. It’s wonderful.. exciting, and nervous all rolled into one. As soon as there is more news, i;ll definitely post it.

Cesar: I dont know of many in the Miami area, but I have a couple of feelers out there. If I get a call on it, i’ll definitely post it.,
