RC opens up Dreamweaver and discusses some of the benefits of using CSS in your web design.
- When using old html, changes would have to be made line by line
- CSS allows you to separate the code from the design
- Layout a simple page in Dreamweaver and create a new CSS rule in the CSS Styles menu
- Save the new CSS document in the root folder of the site
- Apply the CSS Style to elements of your page
- CSS is a great time-saver because it allows you to edit multiple areas at once
- Be sure to stop by Kelby Training to check out classes on using Dreamweaver and CSS
Corey has a tutorial on creating an object in Photoshop and animating it in After Effects.
- Open a new Photoshop document from inside your After Effects composition
- Create a basic object that you want to animate and bring that object into After Effects
- Use position and keyframe commands along with the animation timeline to create a motion path for your object
- You can edit the animation path with the Pen tool
- Create more realistic motion with the Easy Ease commands
- The dots along the path represent frames. The more dots there are, the faster the animation will move
RC and Corey announce the winner of last week's Layers TV contest and give out a new contest question with a special prize this week. Tune in to find out!
