Corey is joined by Richard Harrington who is in the studio to talk about using Photoshop CS3 Extended to create stylized video effects.

• Photoshop Extended has the ability to apply all kinds of Photoshop effects to video files
• Using a gradient map in combination with blending modes can create some very interesting effects
• Users can also bring in an image of a texture and apply that to a video clip to give it a new, interesting look
• To do this, import the image of a texture and then define it as a pattern. Apply that pattern layer to your video clip
• Richard likes to use the technique of creating a power window with a vignette
• Create the vignette by adding a gradient layer with a radial gradient set to multiply blend mode
• Use the replace footage command if you want to apply the same styling to a different video file
