Layers TV: Episode 65

Corey has a tutorial about how a layered document travels from Illustrator to Photoshop.

• Open an Illustrator project and and open the layers panel
• Use the release to layers sequence command to put all of the elements on their own layers
• Go to export and choose the PSD file format
• Open the exported document in Photoshop
• Notice that after opening the document in Photoshop, all of the elements are on their own individual layers

RC talks about using web widgets with Dreamweaver CS4.

• Dreamweaver CS4 includes a link to Adobe Developer Exchange
• Users have to create an Adobe account. Sign in with your new account and download the app of your choice
• Create a new site in Dreamweaver and open a blank document
• Import images and thumbnails
• Use the quick tab to create phatfusion gallery
• Use the picwhip to replace the images and thumbnails with the ones you want to display
• Experiment with these apps and see what’s out there. It’s all free!
