Episode Summary

Corey shows how to encrypt Acrobat documents that you want to password protect.

  • Open document in Acrobat
  • Go under security and choose encrypt with password
  • Choose a password and choose editing/printing options as well
  • Anyone opening the document will have to know the password

Special guest Jason Scrivner demonstrates how to create falling snow flakes in After Effects.

  • Users must spend time in a new program experimenting and learning
  • Open a new project and create a new solid
  • Go into the effects menu and locate particle playground
  • Under layout menu, load a snowflake graphic
  • Adjust the cannon settings to adjust the movement of the flakes
  • Create a new composition and add 3D effects to the snowflake graphic
  • Use code to create random 3D movement of the snowflake
  • Duplicate snowflake comp to create more random flakes
  • Load the new comp into the cannon and make adjustments
  • You now have a random, falling snow effect in After Effects
