To: RC and Corey

I enjoyed both of yours different podcast and I like the software that you demo with the 3d text (Digital Anarchy). I watch a good portion of the different topics Layers have available on their sites. Some of the people in my different Adobe class I am in class with, think it’s stuped to look at them and that I am wasting my time. Not this person, please just keep them coming. If I take one small thing form one of them, like doing a shortcut it was worth it.

I have never won anything when I send in your email and I been doing it for a long time. I even used to call the radio station when they said will the 15th caller will win… Blah blah , etc. I was always the 14th or 16th person.

But, if I WIN!!!, I just renewed my subscription to Layers Magazine for two years. But I also wish I could get a subscription to Photoshop User, without joining NAPP. I am on a tight $$$ string.

Now as far as the contest goes here is your list.

Direct To Canvas
APC TouchUp
Watercolor
Pop Art
Hand Brushed
Portrait Style Background
Convert to B&W
Convert to Sepia
Colorize
BackGround Replacement
Retouch
Hand-Applied Texturizing Gel Coat

As for what I liked on the Artistic Photo Canvas is the Watercolor feature. I love the way the GicleĆ© Painting looks. I have two of my photos done that way, I took them in 1971 on a 120 film (2.25×2.25). I always loved the way they looked.

I have done some painting recently in College. I have gone back to school about 3 years ago to get an Associate Degree in Fine art with minor in Graphic/Web Design.

I have been totally Disabled since 1996. I wanted to do something to make a few extra bucks a month to supplement my SSDI. I just started a company call “Screaming Tut Productions” with my two cat partners Master Magnus Magnanimous and Lady Yum Yum, (Tut passed away last year). We do Photo Restoration and Print Archiving.
My Dad was a Photographer in the US Army Signal Corp In Germany during WWII. My mom used to help my dad by colorizing the B&W wedding shots he too. Myself, I helped in the darkroom developing the prints for him.

I broke my teeth on one of my dad’s RolleiFlex & Yashica Mat 124G Twin Lens Camera when I was 13 (I’m 55 now) and then I was using my dad 35 mm Yashica rangefinder. My Very first 35 mm camera was a used Nikon Ftn with a 50 mm f/1.2 lens.

As I got better, I got a Complete OM system, OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4 & OM10, Lens with a 50 mm f/1.2, a 50 mm & 90 mm macro lens, a 135 mm, Tamron 70-210 mm Zoom and 17-50 mm f/2.8 Wide Angle Macro.

I had tried out a D200 my teacher had, and I loved it. I myself have a Nikon D40x and a Canon G6, but on my wish list for the fall (Grant Money coming in) a D300 or if Nikon is going to replace it with. I use a 2.8 Ghz 24 inch iMac with a second 24 inch LCD Screen, and a 2.4 Ghz MacBook Pro with a 22 inch LCD screen and wireless keyboard when I am at home in my bedroom.

I guess I talked enough. People tell me that I tend to go on tangents a lot. Do you really think so. LOL.

Take care,

Kristyanna Virgona
